Southeastern University offers a “drop dead gorgeous resturant” to it’s students as well as other visitors in the Lakeland area. Take a stroll down “El Prado” but don’t drive your car….this is a road for pedestrians only. There are a variety of foods here at the Tuscana Ristorante. I am sure that like the students, you too, will find this resturant very appealing!
Need a little caffeine for the drive or a place to sit and chill? Mitchell’s Coffee Shop of Lakeland is the perfect place. Mitchell’s is surrounded by a great amount of other shops and sidewalks to a beautiful central garden. Take your coffee and explore the downtown area or sit and cool off from the heat in at the quaint tables.
The 2-Day Annual Festival: “Pig on the Pond”. This attracts over 20,00o people! There is a whole lot of barbecue to go around. This is a wonderful catering event for the whole community.
Can for some fondue? I would!
I love chocolate and The Melting Pot is where you should go to get some sweet treats! This is a chain resturant so you can visit it all over the Central Florida area!
You can also dip your favorite treats in fine cheeses. This is also a really great date spot. You know chocolate is an aphrodisiac right?!
The Pancake House is such a great place to eat! It has actually been around for over 40 years.
The resturant is surrounded by the DeLeon Springs State Park so when you finish your syrupy sweets you can take a stroll in the beautiful scenery.
There is also a place for fishing, hiking, and even Eco-tours!
City Walk of Orlando offers so many things for your to do.
The famous “Blue Man Group” perform!
This is a great place for entertainment both during the day and night.
There are a variety of places to shop, eat, hang, and even watch movies!
Lakeland offers a quaint dining experience unlike any other place I have visited.
I went to Reeceliff with one regret: They should have rolling chairs on the seats so that they can roll their customers out the door! You get so full.
And being a college student, I almost didn’t want to stop eating because of the taste of the food! It is so yummy!

And if you love tea and are looking for a fun and innovative way to enjoy yourself and your friends, then let your next girly getaway be spent in Auburndale, Florida at The Magnolia Tea Room.
Enter a land of lovely ladies centered around frilly table cloths mounted with tiers of the tastiest treats. Such treats include southern style scones, gourmet desserts, fruits and veggies, cheeses, and delightful sandwiches. Choose a tea that matches your mood or your style. Each tea whisk you away to a state of pure bliss. Here are a few of many tea choices: Chocolate truffle, Creme Brulee, Friendship, Strawberry, Orange Christmas cookie.
However, the tea and the treats are not the pinnacle of your visit. Take a walk throughout the gift shop. Designer bath and body products, handbags, and jewelery are on display for your evaluation and indulgence. And when you are finished with that, try on all the ornate hats and strike a pose.
Lindsay, a college student in Florida found her stay at the Magnolia to be a worth while visit. “Our server made my whole table feel so welcome. We had a great conversation with her”, Lindsay said. You will truly feel like royalty in this tea room. The staff is stellar and greet you with incredible enthusiasm. They seek to ensure that your time in the tea room is highly enjoyable for any and all guests, which truly do not exclude the male population. And unto the men of Aurburndale, Florida, I ask, what better place to spoil the special woman in your life? Dads, you too, can party with your little princess.
Lindsay recalls opening the door: “Walking into this team room made me feel like I was walking into a southern lady’s home. And the staff truly make you feel at home by their hospitality and friendliness”. And for Lindsay, this says a great deal, for she is twelve hours away from her real home.
The layout of the Tea Room is also easy to navigate. Peek around the corners of each wall before you select your favorite place to dine. There are many eye-appealing rooms to choose from, one of which decorated in a Country-French style. However, Lindsay added that rooms change according to the seasons; what a great way to keep a returning customer on their toes! Another exciting aspect of this tea room is that it is located in the downtown area of Auburndale, Florida, thus there are also surrounding attractions. Yet that is for another blog. The staff at The Magnolia Team Room are not the only ones that will keep you on your toes.
