This blog is about my adventures looking at opportunities in Communication and the struggles that are faced by those of us who have not kept up with all the new technology.

As I began this new phase in my life, I realized that all the years spent working in the church and home schooling my son had left me at a bit of a disadvantage.  I hadn’t kept up with much of the new technology, and I’d used my computer as a glorified typewriter.  Now, I’m not only faced with going back to school after my son is grown, I am also given a learning curve that sometimes makes things harder than they are for the traditional student. 

Hopefully, if you’re going through a similar experience, or just making a career or life change, you’ll find something that may be of help to you here.  In this blog, I will explore various career opportunities in the area of Communication and obstacles that the non-traditional, older student might find themselves faced with.
