February 4th, 2008 - Former Korn band member trades in Meth for Christ

Brian “Head” Welsh, former lead quitarist for the nu-metal band, “Korn” writes on his addiction to drugs, touring and his acceptance of Jesus Christ. “Korn”, a controversial rock band toured the world with their loud sound and dark themed lyrics about sex and drugs. Welsh says he’d sobered up after his daughters birth in 1998, but that he and his wife then slipped back into their heavy drinking and meth sniffing habits.

Welsh said nothing could kick his habit, despite his family’s crumbling home-life. His new book, entitled ” Save Me From Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs, and Lived to Tell My Story“, is the true story of his recovery from addiction and the redemptive love of Christ. Since February 2005, Welsh has toured churches sharing his salvation with others through teaching and a new reformed sound.
